Kids’ day out Actress Sreelekha Mitra, industrialist Sanjay Budhia and classical vocalist Girija Devi with winner Manya at Bengal Rowing Club A breezy evening by the lake with kids splashing in the pool and a talent show for children up to 16 years made for a fun-filled cultural programme at the Bengal Rowing Club. The event, on April 27, also included an art exhibition by the Genesis Gallery showcasing about 60 paintings and sculptures by artists including Nishit Dey, Suhas Roy, Vaikuntham and Bose Krishnamachari. The vocal talent hunt, called the BRC-Patton Idol, had a well-designed stage with a video presentation of the practice sessions preceding the performances.
